IP HOTBOX is a blog maintained by two IP attorneys based in Seattle, Washington, Alex Hecker and Ashley Long.
Ashley Long works at Carney Badley Spellman. Her practice is focused on intellectual property law, technology transactions, and corporate matters. Ashley assists clients with identifying, protecting, and commercializing their intellectual property. She has extensive experience in trademark clearance, registration, protection, and enforcement, and currently manages the Carney Badley Spellman trademark practice.
Alex Hecker is an associate in the Emerging Companies practice at McNaul Ebel Nawrot & Helgren PLLC. In the realm of intellectual property, Alex negotiates and drafts SaaS, software license and other technology distribution agreements, and handles trademark prosecution, domain name disputes and other matters impacting brands and goodwill. Alex loves fly fishing and has a codependent relationship with his dog, Doug.
